A successful dance group Animata has been acting on the Czech and foreign dance scenes for ten years. It offers to the viewers attractive spectacularly staged performances of period dances in a scenic form (dance theatre). Programme offered by Animata is quite wide and includes the periods of early middle age, gothic, renaissance and baroque, the court dances as well as the folk ones.
Animata is collaborating with several choreographers of various dance genres and thanks to this its programme is very varied and every performance itself represents an original. Animata is also well known by marvellous costumes, e.g. luxury, richly decorated replicas of medieval and Renaissance fashions originating from preserved picture sources as much as possible. Animata´s wardrobe is currently counting several tens of costumes.

Animata has been performing at many prestigious historical and cultural events, it is a regular guest of historical celebrations and festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad as well, e.g. in German Kaltenberg, Austrian Kufstein etc.
